HEARSE

Arch Enemy fans were shocked when vocalist Johan Liiva announced his departure from the rising Swedish band. The search to fill his vacancy resulted in a maddening frenzy as media world-over speculated what Liiva would do in his post AE days. Drummer Max Thornell and Liiva had performed in numerous bands throughout the early 90's. So it came as no surprise that Liiva quickly re-teamed with his old friend and musical comrade. To date HEARSE, the friends new venture, have offered but one recording – 2002's Torch. This two-song recording was revered by the limited media folk that were able to get their hands wrapped around the limited 7-inch. And so came the growing curiosity of just what the band could do on a full-length album. The answer – Dominion Reptilian is a masterful a blend of melodic death and classical metal, the album contains unique guitar playing (with as much character as Anders Nyström/Katatonia or Kristian Wahlin/The Great Deceiver), catchy songwriting and Liiva's remarkable vocals.
