Sweden's IMPIOUS have been building their following and musical prowess for some time. With two recordings for cult label Black Sun (the last licensed in the US by Century Media), the band of eight years now gear up for their proper US introduction by way of their third recording – The Killer. The album is chock full of four-minute juggernauts of power and rage, bringing to mind the sounds that made Testament and Death Angel fan favorites. “Dead Eyes Open,” “The Deathsquad,” and “Kill For Glory” are stand out tracks that hard rock radio should embrace. For the US release, Hammerheart is adding 4 bonus tracks unavailable on the European pressing; including remakes of Metallica's “Trapped Under Ice,” Running Wild's “Soldiers of Hell” and Motley Crue's “Live Wire.” In stores March 18.
