METALLICA, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, CARLING WEEKEND FESTIVAL

Some top names have just been confirmed for the Carling Weekend Festival, which happens from August 22-24. So far announced are:
Linkin Park, Blink-182 (their only live appearance in UK/Europe this year) – Reading site on August 22 and Leeds site on August 23
Blur, White Stripes – Reading site on August 23 and Leeds site on August 24
Metallica, System Of A Down (their only live show anywhere in the world this year)- Reading site on August 24 and the Leeds site on August 22.
Other acts confirmed, although not allocated a specific day as yet, are AFI, Good Charlotte, Sum 41, Placebo, Hundred Reasons, The Datsuns, Cooper Temple Clause and The Music. And the real surprise is that Courtney Love will also be on the bill. Tickets are on sale now. They are priced at Ł95 for the weekend (including camping), or Ł40 per day.
