Earache Records are releasing DEICIDE's latest album, “Scars Of The Crucifix”, in several formats, loaded with special material available nowhere else.
The CD version of “Scars ” will come with a bonus DVD, containing an exclusive DEICIDE documentary shot by acclaimed U.K. director Pete Bridgewater (MORBID ANGEL, DECEMBER, THE HAUNTED). Entitled “Behind the Scars: Under the Skin of Deicide”, the documentary chronicles a few days in the life of the band in the recording studio during the making of the album, at home, at the gun range, onstage in Las Vegas, on the road, and out on the town. Clocking in at 35 minutes, “Behind the Scars” is a must-see DVD for any fan interested in DEICIDE's world view… and it's all free as a bonus in the first 50,000 CDs of “Scars Of The Crucifix”.
The U.S.-only slipcase version contains the “Scars Of The Crucifix” CD as well as the “Behind The Scars” DVD, all housed in a specially-designed black slipcase with die-cut “inverted-cross”. Limited to 3,000 copies, this edition is not available in major chains, but exclusive to mom and pop stores in USA.
The U.K./European-only deluxe digipack version contains the CD with the “Behind The Scars” DVD as well as an added bonus of a signature DEICIDE guitar pick. Limited to 10,000 copies, 9,999 will contain either a Glen Benton, Eric Hoffman or Brian Hoffman signature pick as used onstage by the band themselves… BUT hidden inside one copy is a specially minted DEICIDE guitar pick made of metal. The lucky fan who buys this copy wins a BC Rich NJ Beast guitar.
The vinyl version, limited to 2,000 copies, will be pressed on heavyweight 180-gram 12″ black vinyl, and features brand new, exclusive Paul Booth cover art, different from the artwork on the CD version. Released March 15.
DEICIDE's “Scars Of The Crucifix” will be released on February 23 in Europe, and February 24 in the U.S.
