have set a March 24 Japanese release date for their new album, “Pedal To The Metal”. In addition, IMPELLITTERI mainman Chris Impellitteri will be on the cover of Young Guitar magazine's April issue with a DVD guitar lesson.

Commented Chris: “We are hearing from our record label, the press really like this new CD.

“IMPELLITTERI are scheduled to go to Japan in March for a full press tour including fan meeting events. The band will follow this with a tour around summer!!!

“IMPELLITTERI will also release 'Pedal To The Medal' in Europe with different songs. The band made this decision in order to stop import competition between countries.”

The follow-up to 2002's “System X” marks the recording debut with the group of new vocalist Curtis Skelton (ex-SPEAK NO EVIL), who joined the band last fall. According to Chris, the sound of the new album is “completely fresh and energetic. The music has a lot of the new Swedish metal scene vibe. It is heavy heavy! Imagine bands like FEAR FACTORY, or DISTURBED, or SOILWORK or even SLIPKNOT, with technical guitar solos.”
