NIGHTWISH keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen flew to London, England today (Jan. 29) to oversee the recording of orchestra parts for the group's forthcoming album, tentatively due this summer. The sessions will last a couple of days and will be followed by another trip to London in late February for some additional recording.
All the basic tracks for NIGHTWISH's follow-up to 2002's “Century Child” have been completed at the group's own studio (Caverock) in Kitee, and singer Tarja Turunen will begin laying down her vocals next Monday (February 2) at the Finnvox facility in Helsinki, Finland.
The group hope to complete the recordings by the end of March and launch a world tour in support of the album in the summer.
As previously reported, NIGHTWISH will embark on their first-ever tour of North America in late August/early September.
