NIGHTWISH's first DVD, “From Wishes To Eternity”, has been certified gold in Germany, according to a posting at the band's official web site. “This is the very first time band gets 'precious metal' outside Finland. NIGHTWISH would like to thank everybody who has bought the DVD. Thank You People!!! And now back to studio!!!”

NIGHTWISH's follow-up DVD, “End of Innocence”, entered the official German DVD chart at position No. 2 in October. The disc has also debuted on the regular German album chart at No. 62 (recently altered rules allow music DVDs to enter German album charts).

NIGHTWISH are currently in the studio recording the follow-up to 2002's double platinum (in Finland) “Century Child” effort, tentatively due in June through Spinefarm Records. The band are once again using their own studio (Caverock) in Kitee to record the drums, bass and keyboards/synths, while the vocals and guitars will be recorded at Helsinki's Finnvox facility. The group hope to complete the recordings by the end of March and launch a world tour in support of the album in the summer.
