Frenchmen are still in the attack, and Osmose records are trying to regain their former name of a cult record company. This is what we can say briefly about things which occured in 2002 in France.
If there's about a french black metal they have already did it – they have concentrated on their domestic music elite. After their second release – great “Seth” and electryfying debut “Arkhon Infastus”, time has come for their third longplay called “New Obscurantis Order” The new album isn't as revolutionary as “Exile” and “Drudenhaus” but even so they have made great strides.
This band which was starting from imitating Cradle of filth and Limbonic art now has found their own style. Now it looks like “Anorexia Nervosa” is one of the most important groups on the symphonic black metal scene. Characteristic things of this album are speed of instruments, devilish Hreidemar (insane vocal), and pathetic, orchestral parts of keyboards. So music is speedy, mad and very melodious. Last thing is a production.
We can't say nothin' more than it's really good (band has got their own studio) – all instruments have got really powerful and clear sound. This is really great album which will be guest in my cd player for a very long time…
