BLEEDING LIGHT, THE „s/t”

Excellent album!, listen to this album bring to my mind TIAMAT's wildhoney album, but not for the style of music, otherwise the mysticism, ambiance and originality that involve you in the whole album. The Bleeding Light is a mix of industrial, metal and gothic keyboard ambient creating a strange mournful beauty.

“He who loves” is the first song, with an atypical song structure, but giving us a good intro to what the whole album it's about. Then “My empire” gives their crushing metallic riffs mixing with Carl McCOy's vocals-like in the chorus (NEFILIM – Zoon album to be more specific-), great song!. Then you enter in the madness of “Halloween III” and that nightmarish sample of the beggining (Like My dying bride's Cry of mankind, remains through all the song) and then, this samples of Danzig vocals that sounds so amazing and ingenious. Simply involving. Number four song it's called “Kirye Eleison”, and despite it has a long lenght (more than 13 minutes),it rules! It start with a combination of monk-like chorus with metal riffs and keyboards that sound so unique and weird. But then, about minute six, the metal mayhem commence!! a bit similar to samael's ceremony of opposite album sound but with more samples and different voices all the way. After this, strange noises and samples enter in scene, but to let pass the more traditional heavy metal riff of the album melted with a precise double-bass drum pedal, grandiose choirs and well perfomed keyboards, just killer! The next song,”Drowning”, in the same vein, haunted sounds and ethereal ambiance, this time with clear vocals and whisperings (and that sample of the girl drowning, just Magnific!),finalizing with angry madness. The last song of the album, “E.D.S.”, a more gothic-industrial oriented song, but still with metal riffs in there; an unexpecting end (for the song and the album).

Last to say? The bleeding light is to die for.
