FREAK KITCHEN, IRON MAIDEN JAM

Me and my frined saw that one of our Favorite bands played in a youth house in a small town 80 kilometers from us there was nothing to fo than drive there. When we arrived to this little venue we discovered that people has come all the way from Sweden to hear freak kitchen play. More than 500 kilometeres…..Impressive. Before the concert i talked to Matthias Ekhlund and as usual he was in a good and really looking forward to do gig… Nice dude…

First bands was Iron Maiden Jam. I have never heard such as long gig for a opening band. They played 90 minuttes. They were looking as a 80 metal band. Leatherpants, spandex and curly hear. So the image was right on. They had a very good drummer, one average guitar player and bassguitar player. Their singer did very well, althiugh he had some trouble when reaching the highest notes, but otherwise a very good performer. Their second guitar player was marvelous. They played numbers sucs fear of the dark, run to the hills and all the classics. So definetily a good warmup. After 30 minuttes break Freak Kitchen entered the stage. They started as usual with the first 4 numbers from the spanking hour album. I can't praise them enough. They kicked ass… And they also played 2 new numbers that will appear on the new album that will be released on their new album in October 2002. Very fast and no doubt the hardest tracks they ever made. As usual Mathhias Played with a dildo…… After 90 minuttes they ended their set leaving all the people in the audience all sweaty and exhausted. Remember to support one of the most overlooked band and remember to see them next time they play in a town near you. What else are there to say.
