IMMEMORIAL „Monologue”

IMMEMORIAL „Monologue” - okładka

Be prepared to find your self-sitting in awe after your first taste of Poland's “IMMEMORIAL”. The riffs alone will have you staring at the walls, stunned at what is coming out of your speakers. With traces of Black Metal, combined with the punishing brutality of Death Metal, how could they go wrong? What is more interesting is that they are fronted not by the usual male vocalist, they have a women who at times belts out some pretty violent-laden screams that will make the hair on your balls stand straight up. Without reading the bands line-up, you wouldn't even know that she is of the opposite sex. She defiantly had me saying “holy-shit” with her aggressive style and unrelenting approach, showing that she can dish out some harsh vocals, at time sounding more in control than some male vocalist out there today. She can defiantly hold her own when it comes to slamming your eardrums with her vocal violence.

Musician wise, the guitars give her some brutal riffs that are quite impressive. The great riffs are back up by some intricate melodies that combined make for some pretty heavy tracks. The rhythm section keeps perfect timing during the many time changes that make “Monologue” an even more enjoyable listen.

When I review a Cd, find listen to it several times trying to hear every individual instrument. I always found it hard to ignore the drum every time I listened to the Cd. They are simply amazing, with their blast-beats, rolls, and of course double bass parts. I will not deny that I have always been a fan of drummers because without them, (to me) music would be just plain boring. The drums on the release put a smile on my face. I thought the Cd was very powerful in every aspect. The vocals, drums, guitars, and bass work are simply awesome in my book. You will be surprised when you are actually able to hear the bass in some of the songs. A lot of time the bass is usually drowned out, but “IMMEMORIAL” throw in some bass fill that fits like an iron glove. I like this release and hope to hear more from “IMMEMORIAL” in the future. You should defiantly check them out. I doubt very much that you won't like it, unless you're afraid.
