Norwegian black metallers Keep of Kalessin returned to the fold with their first album since 1999’s “Agnen: A Journey Through The Dark”. Keep of Kalessin is set to dominate the black metal world with their devastatingly brutal approach to the genre. One of the first things that stood out to me about “Reclaim” was the presence of Attila Csihar’s familiar growl. . The guitars and drums on the album are incredibly devastating leaving you craving for more when the song is done. However brutal the guitars and drums may be on “Reclaim” with out the addition of Attila’s signature vocal range the intensity that permeates throughout the tracks would be missing. Reclaim is 27 minutes of utter destruction that can only be described as a milestone in Norwegian black metal.

Keep of Kalessin had taken my love of black metal to a new level, by keeping their music hard and brutal without over power any other aspects of the song. Unfortunately for us here in the USA it is only available through mail order in very limited quantities be sure to get your copy before they run out
