The year 2001 – a year of the musical change! Ehrm, well, nope, not really…

But „at least“ it was the birth year of ASHENT.


Good things come to those who wait and therefore this 4-track-promo of the 6 firm Italians were already recorded in the year 2003 and released one year later. This selfproduction is really good!

ASHENT want to connect many different inspiration sources of heavy and extreme metal with the more melodic and more progressive elements without forgetting the classical additions of the 80´s.

„Eden“ still controls the power metal corner. Indeed „Anaemic Ardency“ has to be put in the progressive corner. „Fallen Angel“ offers a few interesting sequences as well as „Awakened´s Transitions“ that sometimes has got thrashy lifts.

ASHENT are comparable with Labyrinth, Eldritch and Dream Theater.

The man on the control system called Luigi Stefanini (in the famous New Sin Studios) had the right touch and now ASHENT can hope for a good deal of a good label with their selftitled short CD. Live activities are wanted!
