ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES, DARKWELL, BATTLELORE

First: The Z 7 was not really full. Nevertheless the five men and 2 girls in Battlelore were able to make a big party!
“Horns of Gondor”, played by keyboardist Maria, opened the show, 30 minutes time to show the Swiss, how real Middleearth citizens play music! And that happened very well! The front rows partied alot and a crazy fan telephoned with his mobile phone. He always shouted “Battlelore!”. 😉 That is real fan love!! Amine, that is the name of that guy, had a great party with most of the people with Battlelore in the Z 7. Like on the rest of the tour the new (?? Hopefully…!) singer Tomi Mykkänen and bassist Timo Honkanen were great on stage. The new song “Ghan of the woods” is an absolute neck killer.
Battlelore were great and played a tight show.

About the positive things you can say: the setlist was rotating and every person gives the best on stage! Furthermore I can consider that the 7 people are a wonderful community on stage, as well as in real life. Absolutely cool: the tight guitars of band leader Jyri Vahvanen and lead guitarist Jussi Rautio, who joined the band in the year 2001. He is also a man, who writes some songs for Battlelore. Combined with Tomi´s voice an absolute killer. Female singer Kaisa Jouhki takes us to the elven land Lorien with her voice… Wonderful.
In the break to Darkwell our fanclub member Amine had the pleasure to catch a few autographs of some of the Battlelore members and to talk with Jyri.

Afterwards the Austrians Darkwell entered the stage. Frontmadam Stephanie didn´t have big trouble with the audience. So the fans had fun. Already while they played the second song, the audience was in party mood. Around 45 minutes later they came to the end, before the cover „Don´t you forget about me“ was performed. Not bad! And hey: You have look to have Stephanie in the band now, Darkwell!

I really was curious about the show of Ex-Theatre of Tragedy frontmadam Liv Kristine and her guys. And while the coloured light show started, I just knew that this would be a fabulous and atmospheric evening… With her gentle voice, Liv could catch bright eyes of the fans. The sexy outfit helped her to improve her good concert. Just the title track of the debut “Lovelorn” was a little boring. But: Go ahead like that!

The already long break got longer with Madonna sounds! Whose idea was THAT!? Well…

Anyway, I was very curious about Atrocity! Finally I read alot about the band, who has been in metal business for about 15 years now. But somehow I never had the pleasure (?) with the Germans… And I believe, I will never have it with them… A few black dressed gentlemen were about to break down the stage of the Z 7 with the first notes. This was clean melodic death metal! Now the reader might think: I could have told you before! But I nearly couldn´t believe that the same group of people was playing more easy listening music a few minutes before under the banner of Leaves´ Eyes… Slowlier, calmer and easier music… Singer Alexander Krull supported his wife Liv in Leaves´ Eyes on stage. And now it was the other way around. Liv wore another sexy outfit. While Atrocity played their German song “Blut”, the stage was filled with red bloodred ligh! Awesome! „Reich of Phenomena“ and „Enigma“ were great as well. But Atrocity – I don´t know why – had to get lost of a few people. Weird. Due to different sources that happened already in a few other cities. After Leaves´ Eyes the rows got less… That couldn´t change Alex “Thank you!” after each song. Let´s have a look, if this happened in Augsburg as well…?
