Here is the next representative of German heavy/power metal “founded by Risestar Promotions. “Immortal
it already is third material of band, although it is first full album. Heavy metal of the band is a bit different from typical heavy metal bands
First track “Mind Cohesion” began itself very curiously, gloomy and melancholy, like intro Gentle keys, Indian's singings in background, whispers, vocalist's nostalgic singing, bells, climatically solos The whole like in climate of New Age . Suddenly this climate becomes ruptured by next tune, proudly entitled “Mother Earth the hard, rhythmical guitars, full of pathos choruses in style of BATHORY and clean, high vocalist's singing The next slow dawn Indians lamentations, melodious solos sped up by knock of powerful, warlike drums to again would come back to majestic climate of the hymn to worship of Mother of Earth The next tunes “Holy the Land “, “Eye Of Fire”, “Center of the Dark , “I'm still Here”, “Fight fire with Fire” as well as “Medusa's Child”, they bring with themselves more energy, aggression, sharp sound and rhythmical, dynamic guitars. Guitars are helped by climatically keyboards and melodious solos as well as sharp but melodious vocal (like from LAKE OF TEARS). This vocal is supported by high, full melody shout (in style of e.g. HELLOWEEN). Additionally tunes finish and begin dark, climatically motives. These motives joining tracks with themselves. Obviously MEDUSA'S CHILD introduced us something what many of us loves in metal equally strongly like the aggression, brutality, etc. I mind the miraculous nostalgic ballads (“Tears the of the Wolf “, “Lionheart”). Listening metal ballads until the tear twists itself in eye The clean of guitar passages and harmonies, melancholy singing I this untwist itself the power of track The heavy, slow guitars, climatically melodious solos, raising emotions the keyboards The falling in ear chorus And one can be in shoulders the girl's sweetheart endlessly, hehehe
The material creates the powerful dose strong and very climatically heavy/power metal without spectacular virtuosity and excessive sweetening. But for me in majority of tunes the vocals are too silently and a little they perish in background somewhere.
