From time to time I like listening guitar virtuosos, and especially these more metal… STEVE VAI, JOE SATRIANI, MARTY FRIEDMAN… DAVID VALDES is also very talented guitarist. His solo album contains until 11 tracks, in which Spaniard shows his virtuosity! The every track is full of lots of solo guitar parties to borders of possibility. The guitar arrangements sail out from David's fingers like the aces from a sleeve, and it don't giving him the moment of breathing almost outright. The variety of musical subjects (from quick and sharper parties to slower, melancholy motives) in the material creates the emotional flabellum (from gentle controlled aggression to nostalgia). There have not places for vocal phrases, but despite then David will not permit to be bore with listening his composition because every tune is characterize considerable variety of musical subjects, and the whole is full masterly playing the guitar obviously, which is supported by programmed rhythmical section and keyboards, and I have to admit that the background for the guitar shows fits ideally, it sounds very “livelily” as well as it great underlines some guitar motives and it properly strengthens tune. The whole contains the huge dose of emotion, melody and influences of classic music embedded in heavy metal climate and rather in neo-classical heavy metal climate.
