DEATH ANGEL „The Art Of Dying”

I thought myself that many of metal fans from young generation don't associate this band. And I desire to notice that DEATH ANGEL began his career in the latter part years 80 and by many years they acted energetic on thrash metal scene. And at present they returned like phoenix from the ashes with new, totally material!!! “The Art Of Dying ” bring the old spirit of thrash metal, what reigned in 80 years. The compositions remind the old DEATH ANGEL continually, there are very quick, sharp, dynamic and rhythmical guitars with equally sharp and melodious solos, with small tinge of punk rock or old hard core, and on the front side with high sounding, hoarse but melodious vocal. But sometimes the vocal's sound changes like chameleon here and there. this is dependence by mood, once is gloomy, next one is sharp and another time is clean.. This is not the end obviously! Present time returned on new material and to their mad the thrash metal music broke some innovations, what is hear in e.g. “The Devil Incarnate”. This is number one on disc for me!!! Slow, very dark, melodious piece, with entirely different sound of vocal – I do not know why, but by first 4 minutes I feel tinge of grunge. In different places I had associations with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, however another time I hear similarity to old style of ANTHRAX. There did not lack the motive of metal ballad (“Word To The Wise “) with acoustic guitars and melodious solos. Thrash metal ballads always stuck in our hearts strongly. Every tune brings something new with itself, although it does not devoid of old spirit DEATH ANGEL.
