VAVEYLA comes from Turkey. The band is create by: Eren Tanis – guitar and vocal, Aybars Turan – guitar, backing vocal and Darbuka (???), Kutay Vardar – bass and Darbuka ( I have not idea what is this.) as well as Erdine Yilmaz – drums and plates. The material includes 15 doom metal songs, they are replete influences of Turkish music. The tunes contain considerable quantity clean guitar's passages which are interwoven guitar's riffs with a fuzz-box and melodies following slow pace. This is underline by the calm running drummer, which sometimes transmits the whole of momentum, but not too much. (Besides the drummer has to work a bit over one's play). However the vocals are create by clean singing phrases (which the owner should more work over them also) or black metal's screams or even growling's parties, which they make that some fragment is more dynamic and harder. The additional supplements are the complex parties of bass guitar (which plays even curiously here and there, and diversifies the monotonous repertoire) as well as tom-tom's rhythms (Maybe they are Darbuka?). The rhythms with well-kept in oriental scales melodies create just the oriental but dark and melancholy climate. Some stronger phrases remind me the demos of such bands like TIAMAT or MOONSPELL .The whole sometimes is boring because stronger knocks appear too seldom and first of all the vocal parties appear too seldom and the sound of guitars (with the fuzz-box) would belong to improve (but I think, that is the matter of equipment). Besides the concept of the music is very good – the connection of hard metal music with Turkish folklore – Would belong to work over arrangements and to add more accelerations, stronger vocal's parties and to improve the sound of the whole.
