Music: Progressive Death Metal
Country: Libya
The metal surrounded whole the world! I know it because I linked contacts with many bands from different sides of the world
The music links not only generations but and the nations (a religion, a race, a membership are unimportant here, etc.)…
MAGMA comes from African country, from Libya, from Tripoli. The men proudly plays heavy kind of metal – I mean death metal! And I have to admit, their music keeps the same death/black metal standards as are in the rest of world, and additionally we meet here different surprises, about which later
The music have a little old school death metal influences here with traces of thrash metal or the stronger stigma of black metal
Here is roughly, heavily and obviously quickly
The guitars' riffs are able to aggressive threshing or to mightily crush, it in connection with the specific growling or black metal's scream and enough sharply threshing drums gives really solid kick
And the whole is color the considerable quantity of specific melodies which are close in death/black metal's frames.
Except the darkness and the aggression reigning in the music of MAGMA, the band also is able to make the bit of melancholy (what it is hears in the second part of “Don't Burry Me” or else in full of darkness and nostalgia of the first part of song “Durrah Is My Name”.
The music has additional trumps. The diversifies those compositions are a little the progressive metal's patents, the black metal's screams, the recitations to music, the gentle keys or else the guitar's motives sometimes well-kept in Arabic scales
And the whole would be better when the quality recording would be better.
