Slowly it is getting misty and grey outside, just November. But you can warm up the grey days rapidly with a little concert. And it should become warm that night, how I can tell you
Around 20 people stood in front of the Live Club Barmen in Wuppertal on 8 pm and want to go badly inside to shake away the cold with music and beer, caused by the heavy wind. It could be more people showing up for a Friday evening, I think. Let´s see, what will happen… Yet, the two ladies answer for the merchandise (Chrissi and Miriam) are not stressed out, although already before the concert was sold a lot of stuff.
Easygoing, the hall that can be filled with 350 guys and girls filled up – at least half of the location got full, and WOLFEN entered the stage to give full speed. This task was done well. With a playing time of 45 minutes and well choice songs, the boys from Cologne lured their audience with their melodic mixture of power and thrash metal.
The golden middle was done by the band THE MYSTERY from Heiligenhaus/Germany who played songs from their two albums Facing the storm (for example 1.000.000 light years away) and the latest released Scars (for example Schizophrenia). From the first second on, the 3 guys (Alex Thunder Martin on guitar, Daniel the animal Kahn on drums and Christian Rüthers on bass guitar) and their front lady Denise Olbrich got their fans to party and they showed again that they are the secret headliner of a good rock evening. Moshpit in the front rows, headbanging until the doctor comes. Again and again, drum solos of drummer Daniel Kahn were wanted. Finally the dreams came true and the fans got it and they really had fun. To create these results that the audience excibits, you need catchy melodies, heavy riffs and a band that is that sympathic and close to their fans like THE MYSTERY do that. The ironical announcements of the charming female singer do their stints: Now we play a song about heartache, like we rarely do it! Keep it up!! Manager and organizer Mario was satisfied, too.

After the impressing show of THE MYSTERY, UNREST hardly didn´t have any chances. It was already very empty in the room, as the men around singer Sönke Lau entered the stage, and it became even emptier… UNREST, founded in Bremen, needed a longer lasting start-up period. The riffs were straight. You could not complain about the way the guys play their instruments. They really can play. Only Sönke´s voice sounded like a mixture of AC/DC singer Brian Johnson and Udo Dirkschneider. Unfortunately I am not much into them, because I think they are too non-original and also just the basic core of 70 people of the ancient 120 noses partied.
Nevertheless there was no lack of atmosphere. A felicitous night with three bands that fit together well and that rocked (even if – or maybe because of little people?).
