Thanks to good kindness of Alkemist Fanatix Europe I had opportunity to acquaint oneself with representatives Italian “alternative metal” scene. “Alternative metal” because bands (AQUEFRIGIDE, KEENANTS, DEFLORE, FIGURE OF SIX, CHAOS CONSPIRACY), which music I acquainted, they oscillate between industrial, psychedelic music, grooves, crossover, past hard core and nu metal
The first band which I threw on my music workshop was KEENANTS, we let's begin ab ovo As I don't listen on everyday this type of climates then I don't know famous bands in this style, it is why my first associations went into KORN and LINKN PARK.
Here the hard, rhythmical guitar riffs with aggressive, shouting vocal, what be supported by powerful drums and very dynamic bass are leading patents. This makes that seating in place during listening of KEENANTS hasn't the smallest sense, because the body gets away to rhythmical activity of head, jumps and to demolition of whole room, hahaha Obviously the total power is not the only trumps of the band. The melodious vocal-guitar parties are here quite a lot – e.g. in style of the guitar's passages or the solos and here and there almost melancholy vocal melodies, outright in style of nu metal ballads.
The songs are arranged curiously, they have own characteristic form but they also are able to surprise with frequent changes of tension, of mood, or pace. KEENANTS gives quite good kick!
