New York metal band Grey Skies Fallen has completed putting the finishing touches on their first album in over three years. The album, entitled “Two Way Mirror” is the band's third release, and will once again be a self-financed recording. This album promises to be the most diverse Grey Skies Fallen record to date. This time around, the band focused on their lighter side, while at the same time incorporating the heavy, unrelenting power fans have come to expect from them.
The eight songs that make up “Two Way Mirror” were written over the three-year time span that the band refers to as “The Lost Years”. During that period, the band saw many lineup and style changes. Grey Skies Fallen also disbanded on two occasions. Cooler heads prevailed in late-2004, and the band was reformed, this time with co-founder, guitarist Joe D'angelo back in the fold.
“Two Way Mirror” will be released as an enhanced CD-Rom, which features a 23 minute documentary, “The Making of Two Way Mirror.” The documentary shows the recording process, and the ups and downs between band members throughout the session. The bottom line is fan or not, you will enjoy this documentary. The CD-Rom will also feature a contest that will soon be announced on our websites. A lucky winner will receive the complete Grey Skies Fallen discography plus one of our brand new shirts.
Grey Skies Fallen is currently in writing mode for an upcoming album to be released late 2006. The fourth album will feature the darker, heavier side of the band, which could be found on 2002's “Tomorrow's in Doubt.” The band prides themselves on their diversity, and diversity is what you will find on these next two albums.
