The group recently completed a new theme song for the WWE superstar Big Show that will be featured on their upcoming Wreckless Intent compilation. The disc, which is set for a May 23rd release, also features such acclaimed artists as Avenged Sevenfold, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage and Motorhead, among a slew of others. That same month, Century Media will reissue their highly acclaimed 2002 self-titled debut offering with all new artwork, a previously unreleased live video and two hard-to-find video clips.
BRAND NEW SIN have also been working hard on material for their much anticipated new album, which is tentatively set for a fall release. This will be the follow-up to their acclaimed 2005 album, Recipe For Disaster, which was praised by critics and fans alike.
Joe Altier (vocals) checks in with the following report: “It was a long, cold winter here in Syracuse, so we just ended up crawling inside the practice room, drinking a ton and writing a new CD. We are looking to be back in the studio within the next month so stay tuned, as we will keep you updated on our progress. The goal is to definitively have the record out by fall.
“In other news, this May will see two BRAND NEW SIN releases. The first will be the re-release of our first CD (originally released in June 2002) with all new artwork and videos for the tracks 'My World', 'SPP' and 'Judgement Day.' The second release is for our song for WWE superstar Big Show. We recorded the song during the BLS tour last fall, and it will be featured on WWE's Wreckless Intent CD on May 23. We are really excited to be a part of it with all the other great bands involved. We have also lined up a few shows before diving back into recording, so Chicago, Herkimer (yes Herkimer!!) and Syracuse will get a few new songs from us. Come out and enjoy. As soon as this CD is done, we will be heading back out on the road, so again stay tuned for dates coming real soon. We are excited at what this year will bring for us. Thanks again for all of your support.”
Late last year, BRAND NEW SIN completed a highly successful major market U.S. tour with Black Label Society, and their stunning set captivated crowds while solidifying them a rabid new following. This is the epitome of American hard rock.
