Cool Songs: Ex nihilo, Evolution : Devilution,
Destinity is a French black/death metal band. Through this album, they have proved out there that France might be one of the great lands that gave birth to great metal-heads and bands.
It's obvious from the this band's influence what kind of style we would listen to. MORBID ANGEL, HYPOCRISY, IMMOLATION, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, SLAYER, KREATOR, DARKANE, IN FLAMES, SOILWORK and more great bands.
Destinity have gathered all the good death/black elements together. Starting from strong brutal voice to a great playing with their instruments.
I admire the lead very much. He got an amazing energy inside of him which he got out so right. And of course by the support of the second guitarist's help, he managed to look so perfect.
One thing I have to say, it's not bad thing but I guess it needs whether more practice or another one to do it, which is the “clean vocal” part. Sometimes I feel he is drifted away, he could use more time to get his voice more on course or even strong enough.
“Ex nihilo” was my first favorite song on this album. The keyboard of course was so obvious. He started the whole thing with the band, then the tone changed to faster beat. I like this shifting.
I love the acoustic part in “Evolution : Devilution ” it's very different , like a fresh drops of blood in the veins of the band. It's played very good.
The keyboardist is in the right spot but he is half shaded, not full. Meaning…he needs more lights. Yes, he got his spot, but he could do more specially he got a great talent.
I guess the vocals and the lead guitarist were my favorite members and the shining star of this band, but that doesn't mean that the rest of the band are not good, I just prefer those 2 very much.
