The early bird catches the worm…

While the location burst at the seams with the bands Obscure, Psycho, Lifthrasil, Blackened, Agoraphobia and the secret headliner Irony, IVORY NIGHT from Kaiserslautern/Germany have got very bad cards and have to act the bouncer tonight.

The location was full with 250 people, but this changed immediately after Irony. Anyway, the four guys succeeded to give a great heavy metal show to the rest of the audience!

From the first moment on („Keeping“), the quartet did a show that really was a must for more visitors. Those, who wanted to hear more metal after Irony had big luck with IVORY NIGHT!

IVORY NIGHT introduced three new songs to us: „Keeping“, „The end“ and „The shelf“. Those songs were sceptically seen first. But as the band played “And I fly“ of the album „7 – Dawn of the night“, the ice was broken and the rest of the visitors banged their heads!

Again two new songs appeared: Not only with the catchy song „Machine“ singer/guitarist Patrick Fuchs got support by bassist Carsten Kettering.

The audience was really into „Charon of Styx“ (a track that cannot be found on any CD, but was written with the band´s former drummer).

During the last third of the set, well-known stuff was played by the guys. The three songs „Mighty wings“, „Beyond the pain“ and „Salvation is an honest man“ demanded everything from the fans.

And so the atmosphere was best, as the concert came to its end! A concert that you remember gladly – if without 250 viewers!

The first festival of the organizer „Metalclub Hatecrew“ was a well organized festival with nice prices and you can look forward to more! Improvement suggestion: Watch out that the times do not have a delay of one hour… If a festival starts at such early times, neither the band nor the fans want to stand in and on the stage after midnight.

IVORY NIGHT – who are 3 times better than on CD! – should not have earned such a thankless position. But they could show what they are. And despite a cold of two fourths of the band, they played a solid metal show!
