Blace yourself 2006
Hm, there are people who would die for this kind of metal, and other laugh themselves to death. Well, the result is the same hehe
All jokes aside:
RAPID FIRE from Phoenix/Arizona (please do not mix it up with the same titled German metalheads!) mix a bunch of metal styles, first of all power with thrash metal in the old school way. The worst thing: the screams of singer Ian Battleaxe Walden destroy some nice atmospheres and let us feel a creep down the neck.
Brace yourself actually is a great song if you have a look at the songwriting. But there is a singer who destroys everything I really think to myself, if those five guys joke with us or if they mean business. Because how can you write such great headbang songs, and then the end is SUCH a screamer on the microphone!
With songs like Annihilate, the band has got the thrash metalheads on their side, whereas the eyes of Guns N´ Roses fans will start to glow with Not easy being sleazy. Only the warrior is a song that is introduced with an organ (you can hear that on the interlude March of the dark lord as well) which sounds folcloristic. This song goes out to all the Manowar fans.
Result: You can find everything on that album. 13 high-contrast songs with nice melodies and good guitar riffs with a running time of around 40 minutes. Very good intention! But you should ignore the singer
