The fourth album of the band LIAR SYMPHONY from Brazil plays melodic power metal.
10 tracks are about to sweaten your ears for about one hour.
Already the first song called The Shine does not only remind me because of the organ on Tobias Sammet´s AVANTASIA-albums. Between those smashers like Last Chance and After Life creeps a song with the main attraction on the keyboards: Lie (as well as After Life mentioned above. This song also is equipped with a speeding guitar wall.)
Now maybe I lean a little bit far from the window, but singer Nuno Monteiro once more resembles BRAINSTORM/SYMPHORCE singer Andy B. Franck or Michael Kiske (not only “The Shine”).
Tight and is powerful not only the vocals. Also the musicians themselves know exactly what they are able to do. Diverse and interesting breaks and spped changes, as well as catchy melodies and refrains persuade every melodically inclined metalheads´ heart with tension.
“Cry for the damned” is initiated with a piano-intro, however, is based more and more to a miraculous song scaffolding which is filled more and more with life.
Between the plenty of killer tracks, I found a ballad: Howling in the Dark definitely slows down the speed.
Totally seen, this album develops more quietly in the end.
The disc “Choose your side” sounds very good! Killer songs alternate with mid tempo pieces (“Inner Suicide”).
LIAR SYMPHONY are at high level and also got to tie up once more with one of their albums!
note: 9/10
