Cool Songs: Count Coloredo, Stanzerl, and Salieri
This band made it hard for me to find the right genre to classify them. Sacriversum is mix of Death metal (deep growling and brutal singing along with deep riffs), Gothic ( for the idea only of a female vocal with them and the gothic keyboard), and Progressive (the existence of this genre's touch).
I don't want to call this band Gothic since the female Vocal (Kate) is not singing angelic or soft tones. She reminds me more with Cristina from Lacuna Coil. Kate knows her own vocal's ability. She doesn't scream, or even sing higher notes. But this sometimes could cause boredom out of this tone, if it stayed for a long while. “Sleepy tones”.
“Count Coloredo” I have to say, this is my first favorite song I liked about this band. of course, they keyboardist Annie was doing a great job, and this is what I like about this band, everyone has his own part, obvious and clear. Nothing covers the other existence, despite the musical leadership was given to the lead guitarist, but it's very acceptable thou.
I have to say that in “Stanzerl” the keys weren't suitable. Not in the entire song, but in few parts. I didn't like the way it use to pop-up.
I don't know, when I heard “Salieri”, it seemed familiar to me. May be I have heard it before, but I doubt it. Kate sing most of the song here. Not really likeable although she got a good voice.
This band is so cool, and this album might be a great and a good step forward for their musical carrier.
