This is one album that was not very promoted in 1995, compared with other bands alike in that time like My Dying Bride (the angel and the dark river), Anathema (the silent enigma) or Moonspell (wolfheart); Likewise, this album have all the feeling, melancholy and melody of that mentioned bands involving haunted melodies that were carved at that time as gothic metal. Beyond Dawn offer this ambiance and differencing with the other bands mainly in the vocal department, on the clear tones specifically (guttural voices are similar to moonspell old albums), and the use of trumpets (songs with these arrangements bring to mind Pink Floyd (Never (a bygone) and Daughter Sunday as examples)). All songs have their own spirit but are in the same melodramatic vein, although very enjoyable as a whole. One album that must remain on your CD collection if you like this kind of music.
