SINCE BEFORE THE FLOOD & AEON Sign to Metal Blade

We are pleased to announce Metal Blade Records has officially inked a worldwide deal with the brutal North Shore/Boston Massachusetts hardcore band Since the Flood . Since The Flood’s debut release, No Compromise will mark the bands follow up to the underground hit Valor and Vengeance which came out through Iron Clad Recordings (Unearth frontman Trevor Phipps’ label) in February 2005. No Compromise, recorded at Outpost Studios in Stoughton, MA with Jim Siegal (Blood for Blood, Cave In, and the Dropkick Murphys), shows the band heading in a more focused and intense direction with the end results being a far more concentrated hardcore record than anything they have done in the past. “ There's no doubt in our mind that both old fans, and new, will be very surprised and pleased with the direction we've gone musically since Valor and Vengeance” states the band.

No Compromise will be released in early 2007. More information and tour dates will be released shortly. In the meantime if you have yet to check these guys out go HERE and listen to some songs off of Valor and Vengeance.

Metal Blade Records signs AEON!

We are also very pleased to announce the signing of AEON, one of our latest additions to the Metal Blade family. Known for their technicality and sheer brutality AEON has made a place for themselves among the leaders of the death metal community by creating excruciatingly heavy, yet catchy songs that have caught the attention death metal heavy weights Cannibal Corpse, who are some of their biggest supporters. “AEON’s musicianship is among the best in death metal, but their songwriting is what truly sets them apart. It's rare to find a death metal band that is simultaneously crushingly brutal and infectiously catchy. AEON is one of those rare bands” states Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster.

Not content with merely playing extremely fast, Aeon set out to take death metal to a new level by having all the instruments “support” each other while taking the time to create superior riffs, lyrics and vocal patterns with thought behind them. With the band already working on new material for their Metal Blade debut and tours already in the works, you can expect to see great things from this Swedish death metal quintet.
