Desolate Ways first album our now and here album is really worth a listen. They are 4 pieces of musicians who are hailing from Brazil.
Their style is a mixture between melodic, heavy, and bit doomish tones, yet moody. It remind me with the style of a German band called Darkseed. Its hard to classify them but they do make sense in their music. Lyrical, its a bit gothy.
The only thing that I couldnt swallow in this band was their own lead guitarist. I didnt like his solo parts. I felt like he got nothing new or creative to play. May be Walls of Fear was a good solo space for him.
When I first heard their vocal. He reminded me with James Hetfield. They sound the same. And I was pleased to know that he will (did) join a Metallica tribute band. I was right!
My favorite track for them called Sleep. Starting with this acoustic guitar really meant a lot to the mood of the song.
Cant wait to hear their new album. They are really great.
