Massachusetts metal heavyweights Unearth have just announced that they will be filming their show at the Glasshouse in Pomona, CA for an upcoming DVD. This tour marks the band's first US tour since their run of dates with Dimmu Borgir back in April/May of 2007. Joining Unearth on tour will be Darkest Hour, August Burns Red, and Suicide Silence. This monstrous tour will hit the road on September 27th for a four-week North American tour with stops in Canada. The dates are in support of the Unearth's latest album, III: In The Eyes Of Fire (recorded with Terry Date, Soundgarden, White Zombie, Pantera, Deftones) which was released August 8th 2006. III: In The Eyes Of Fire tipped the Billboard Top 200 Chart debuting at 35.
Here's what vocalist Trevor Phipps has to say:
We figured it was about time we shot a real DVD and what better place than the intimate Glasshouse? Ever since we first played there in 2002 we have loved the crowds and venue in every repeat visit. We couldn't be more stoked to return and get it on tape this time around. A high energy show and good times will be had by all on October 9th.
The live show will only be part of the DVD as we aim to make it a double disc with behind the scenes footage of us on tour, the band and crew backstage, hanging with the fans, rare studio footage, band, crew and special guest interviews, more live footage and pictures from our travels around the world and all of our videos. The DVD set will be a complete retrospective from our beginnings in the basement practice space in Winthrop, Massachusetts all the way up to present day as well as a look at what is in store for us as we approach a full decade of being Unearth.
If any of you have pictures or video you think will be a worthy addition to our DVD, please send an email to us at unearthdvd@gmail.com.
till next time…
Trevor
