OBLIVION „Remixed”

OBLIVION „Remixed” - okładka
Music: Thrash Metal
Country: U.S.A.
Band status: split-up

David Fasette, the guitarist of non-existing American OBLIVION, had a shining and decided to re-release any kind of stuff, which has been produced under the name of OBLIVION. He is doing this on his own, without any help from outside or other former musicians, what is more, this album, containing the material from the three previous demo albums and some concerts, is available! All you have to do is contact David at oblivioncd[at]comcast[dot]net, and pay 7 bucks plus some shipping.

And believe me, that if you do so, you will not regret, be unhappy or unsatisfied. ‘Remixed’ is a sheer thrash metal album, a real masterpiece, there is no doubt about it. And if someone has some of those, should just try to kiss ones butt. If succeeded, only then will I agree, that this music is a piece of crap. Otherwise, do not even bother. This album is full of surprises, as it is full of different musicians, representing different ideas and concepts. Constant hammering of the same riffs just does not exist here. The compositions are absolutely fabulous, they represent different ideas, pace and motifs shifts are present in every single song. This enriches the whole and pushes it to a higher dimension. Everything sounds very raw and the impression of low-budget production is present throughout the whole album, because, as stated earlier, this album is a compilation of three demo albums, released by OBLIVION in late 80’s and 1990. but all in all, this does not annoy, the ideas are the crucial matters here. And this album is a huge mine of them, they are falling down like meteors, there is a huge rain of those, crushing and burning everything. This chaotic power enslaved in this CD, only awaits for someone to play it out loud.

This eighteen-track album is a real phenomenon. It is long, not boring, extraordinary and… I have not got the words to describe its beauty, thrash beauty that is. Definitely, highly recommendable to any scum bag and thrashman. That little minus is for that sound…
