Music: Hard Rock/Blues

Cool songs: Its Alright, Hard Luck Messiah, Kingdom Come
Still too young to call themselves the dinosaurs of rock, but old and experienced enough to be called THE LIZARDS! And surely, they are one of the best rockin band playing nowadays. The concept of THE LIZARDS saw the daylight thanks to Mike DiMeo (RIOT) and Bobby Rondinelli (BOC, RAINBOW, SABBATH). Just look at those names
they speak for themselves.
If you open this CD BOX you will hear of better tributes to the old school of rock. THE LIZARDS are todays LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE and AC/DC! Everything enclosed within one tiny plastic disc, called The Lizards Rule. The album starts quite hard and the hard rock style stays till the end (plus some violin and pseudo-symphonic parts). Sometimes it is just unbelievable, how such simple and uncomplicated riffs can bring so much pleasure. And that was the main strength of the bands, mentioned above, and this is the main advantage of THE LIZARDS. Every song is simple, but very original and hits your weakest parts. And I could not remember a band, who had so much fun while playing the music. Moreover, everything has got that blues string, which makes it even more original and fantastic. Everything is just in perfect trim and that is what the old-rock-eaters like the most.
This album is quite nice, because we have heard it all before. Such high-format stars as the ZEPPELINS or the PURPLES will never appear again (recent concerts not included) and copying their achievements simply does not move. If you have got a father (or a friend) around forty, who likes such music, it is a perfect gift for him. Otherwise just forget about if for a year or two, and buy yourself Stormbringer or Paranoid.
