Cool songs: Seeds of Evil, Soldiers of Freedom
AFTERLIFE is a one-man band, but the founder believes, that one day he will finally find the musicians suitable for his project. As for now, any kind of work is being done by him. And Grzegorz managed to record one demo and two full-length albums (Dignity or Death is the last one).
This album is pure underground, and you will notice it from the very beginning. As Grzegorz wrote in the disc info, he recorded it at own cost and own place, so the sound quality would be quite poor. And in fact it is. What is more, the songs are uninteresting, do not grasp the attention, they do not even catch it. Furthermore, the compositions sound very much alike and this fact is the greatest disadvantage of Dignity or Death. I would understand someone, who releases a demo with four songs, which sound very similar to each other. But full-length album, with eleven same compositions, is totally beyond my mind. Seeds of Evil is one of the most interesting songs, with cool motif: a chorus sung in a canon; those voices sound fantastically. And the good news end in here. The rest is after one fashion.
I have to say, that Xerox company has a great promo-guy in the person of Grzegorz Ksepko. But unfortunately, he copies his own style, which is quite dull, monotonous and uninteresting.
