Cool songs: Last Mile, Beyond, To the Unknown
ARMAGEDDON (Rev 16:16) was formed in 1984 and baptized HEAVY DUTY. After a year the name was changed to ARMAGEDDON and remained such till present days. During the 80s and 90s the band was swinging around and playing some gigs, they released two demo albums and one EP. Spoils Of Conflict is their first full-length album. Recently they have been working on some new stuff, a sample mp3 is available on their official site.
Great technique and very good performance allows one to listen to this album with sheer pleasure. After an average beginning, things start to sound much better. Last Mile with its raw guitar and symphonic fills sounds very well. It is a real pleasure to listen to this song, the rest is as interesting as discovering a new galaxy: varied compositions, pace and motif changes – just do it! This album and band really deserve a further word somewhere out there. Beyond is also very good: the power breaks ones neck and fills the corpse with unlimited sound. Not to mention the acoustic-beginning of To the Unknown and the whole composition, which is a fantastic finish for this furious CD. A really poetic piece of music.
If I may say so, just listen to this album. It is really worth it. Give it a try and believe me, the content will not disappoint you. Just hear the fantastic and furious cry coming out of this little piece of plastic.
