ART OF SIMPLICITY were created in 2003 and their aim was to play the music, which would balance between simplicity and art. In 2005 they recorded their first demo which was appreciated and got some quite nice marks from Webzines. Now, it is time for their first full-length album, so here we go!
Its beginning might suggest that we have to deal with an industrial release. But later on there is no doubt, that the stuff is very progressive. Progressive rock! With many electronic adds and very annoying atmosphere which makes every song sound the same. So, there is nothing to say, or even write about. The compositions are slow (but with a few exceptions – Iless) and very dull, they lack in power and attention drawing. They are original, not to say too original, eccentric even. What really annoys, because those silly guitars, keyboards and drum fills get on ones nerve very quickly and easily. Only for the most tenacious.
This album is a technical masterpiece, the elements co-operate smoothly and are pretty bizarre. Although they work very well, mainly on this disc. So, I think that they should be kept here, just in case. There is nothing really interesting about this album, only fans of extremely unusual progressive rock will find it useful (for example of EVERWOOD).
