There are millions of BLOODSHEDS, but only one of them is from Sweden. This one and only, original BLOODSHED was formed in 1997 and experienced many line up changes. Ten years of performing, playing gigs, sitting in the studios, and only one full-length album
poor result, but the quality is not so bad.
Black metal has in it something, which makes it extremely aggressive, unpredictable and gruesome, or at least its maestros created such indicators of genre. In case of BLOODSHED, their music is also very aggressive, but the similarities end at this point. Their metal is not black, it is dull, in colour and sound. Two riffs, hammered all the time, simply bore after a while. Even the most tenacious metalians have to say STOP! The drummer is doing his best to save the music, but with such weak support from the rest of the instruments, it is impossible. The best parts of this album are: Release and Kiss of Cruelty. The first one is like a poem, there is only one instrument used – the guitar, which sounds as if it had rusty strings, which sound fantastic. The next one is full of surprises, finally something changes. But the rest is just the same old song.
Inhabitants of Dis would have bored to death, if it had not been for those instrumental infixes. The material is much too simple, straightforward and sounds pretty average. It does not have that it, essential for black metal.
