Cool songs: The Book of Mourning
The band was formed in 1997 and since then, they have been working upon some releases, but mainly playing gigs. And that is how they built a huge amount of fans, who would go everywhere and do everything for them. After signing the contract with DaCore Records, they released their first full-length album Low Life Crew and after a while, split up. In 2002 they combined their forces again and released Resurrected, some line up changes occurred, and in 2006 they released The Book of Mourning. Whew
now that is some kind of short bio.
The last album by BUF is a boring, mouth-yelling release, which makes me want to vomit. Slow riffs, dull atmosphere, lazy beats and uninteresting growling, contributed to this feeling. Some fast elements, audible especially in Birthrites are the best parts of this album, they really kick ass. Create an energetic mood, provide the power for tired bodies, give wings to this album, although the slow mode brings everything back, down to earth. The title of this album is an appropriate name for such music.
And the same goes for the bands name – this album shows, that their impulse for creating this music was the frustration itself. It sounds, as if the musicians actually were frustrated, that they had to perform together.
