COLLARBONE is the Finlands most recent young punk rock band, who are well titled in there. They have won some serious music contests in this Scandinavian land, their album was mixed by Jens Borgen (OPETH) and mastered by another fame – Ue Nastasi (KILLSWITH ENGAGE, TYPE O NEGATIVE, SEPULTURA), so we should have here a good piece of heavy play. But instead
Instead we have got a young and still quite immature voice very typical for todays popular music scene (a lighter version of SYSTEM OF A DOWN). The compositions are quite catchy, but still far from perfect. You will not hum them, because soon you will forget about everything you have heard. This music is really straightforward, so anyone can listen to it and look for a genre for them. Because this music is dedicated almost to everyone, especially those, who did not consolidate their musical tastes yet. Listen to it, mark, and leave it, because out there, there are millions of better groups, playing far better music. Of course if you want something more sublime.
It is not a completely bad album, in fact, it is even not bad. But will not interest anyone devoted to heavy play. It is a good position to be someones first heavier album, but leave it quickly, because you will be stuck with that light heavy stuff for ever.
