Cool songs: Suns Gaze in the Maze, Phoenix
The band was formed in 2003, but shortly after that time, the main musicians (founding fathers who left the band for KAOS ENGINE) left and the status was only: split up. Last year, after the release of Seasons Of Suffering the band reborn and now they are on their best way to conquer Italy and the world with their melodicore.
And this album is a short dose of sad play and I am happy with that. The acoustic parts sound fantastic and are good preludes to heavier moments (by the way quite heavy ones). Combining two vocals is not something new: the lady spills her grief and the fleshy growl pours aggression to the music, this operation works well and forces the listener to listen with the mind wide open. The sound of the album can sometimes annoy, especially the guitars, what is more, the compositions are very much alike, the musicians follow only one concept, which is let us use a flail. It is simple and everyone will get the point. That is why the album is somewhere beneath the quite good level.
Seasons Of Suffering could have been a better album: those acoustic parts are very good, although when some more heavy riffs would be added, everything would gain a really strong and irresistible kick.
