Cool songs: Zakon Czasu, Komputerowy Bóg
KARDAHAS is a Polish band, from Dębica, formed somewhere around the year 2001, and actually the bio file is empty. Everything that my magnificent eye managed to find, is the information, that some kind of industrial factory sponsored the release
Escape is one of rawer albums, which appeared on Polish metal scene. The music is very harsh and creates some kind of empty feeling. The compositions are dynamic, heavy and totally un-melodic. The music sometimes sounds as if the term melody did not exist in KARDAHAS dictionary. Despite of the fact, that some very unusual and even cooler elements appear on this album (nice riff in Computer God), the seriously un-cool vocal destroys everything. Thanks to it, the album sounds like a one dollar underground punk production, and loses a lot, and I mean it. The only way to end this crap, is to sack the singer.
Original riffs and ideas, quite cool drum fills, and extreme rawness definitely deserve to be pushed farther. But on the other side, there are monstrous problems with the rhythmical sections (the music is sheer chaos, even metronome would not help here), lack of melody and last but not least: Waldeks vox. Mixed feelings, with downgrading tendencies.
note: 4.5/10
