Cool songs: Inside, Seized by the Neck
KIJU started working in 1997 fascinated by the sounds of FAITH NO MORE and SOUNDGARDEN, so actually we now have the image of the thrash music they play. Since 1997 they managed to record only two full-length albums and not smaller interruptions like demos or EPs.
Demo(n)cracy is a very fleshy and powerful album, with spewing-like vocals. Its main strength is the speed and power plus some really good melodic elements. The rest of the music is after the same fashion: one fleshy riff, hammered over and over again (can cause music-sickness), and only one pitch (if it can be called this way) of the voice. Sometimes Vitto sounds as if he was going to vomit, which is a very uninteresting perspective. The drums are the best part of this album, well prepared and performed, keep the pace and create a real blockhead atmosphere. The rest of the instruments (not to mention the voice) is just silence. You listen to them, but do not hear anything.
KIJU created an average album with downgrading tendencies. This music has got one characteristic feature: it is inappropriate for listening. Those CDs should be bought for smashing.
