NOEKK is a German band formed in 2004, playing something in between progressive and doom metal. The main theme of the compositions is the world generated by J.R.R. Tolkien, especially in the tales of Tom Bombadil.
From listening to NOEKK you will definitely feel blue, and ia really mean it. The Water Sprite is an album which hardly deserves to be called rock, metal even. It is some sort of depressing music for the people, who think of themselves as losers. Each song starts with the same motif: slow, gently and quite depressing mood. If you are someone, who likes sitting by the fireplace, with a bottle of wine or whiskey, contemplating the fire, it is an album for you. Otherwise do not even bother.
The Water Sprite is something, which I would not like to have in my discography. Simple sounds, a few uninteresting riffs and that very unpleasant atmosphere just scares me off.
