PIGSKIN, a band with almost 12 years of performance managed to release only two albums. The groups can easily be bought by the new-metal generation fans, who like such strange sound. They have been working in Switzerland and playing some gigs recently. But the info about the group still remains undiscovered, because my German is very poor.

Heavy and very mouth-yelling album, which offers… only that. The material is very monotonous and sometimes even dull, although heavy. Everything is played after one fashion and bores after a while. The compositions are fast, rhythmic and very dynamic, but do not have that thing inside, which blows away the brains. You listen to such music and feel… nothing. I have to admit, that the guys did a fantastic job: they play very high-level thrash metal, the technicalities are gorgeous. And ‘Swifti’ simply reaches the peaks of the drums Mount Everest. Although the music does not blow away, as a proof, I have to say, with some sadness, that I was unable to identify the best song on this album, because all of them are of the same quality (in terms of content) and do not bring any freshness at all.

‘Epidemic’ is a model heavy thrash metal, with some slight variations inside, hoarse and very strong vocal, and huge dose of power. But something is missing, and that ‘something’ is the concept, the idea behind the music. You cannot create good music without imaginative visions.
