Cool songs: Veins Rising, Existence of Brutality, Napalm Cocktail
The first full-length album was received very well (by some media and fans), the band started to spread their wings and got the wind in the sails. In 2005, Pieric Sean Grosjean reinforced the group and they started working upon new material, which finally saw the daylight in 2006, after the recording in the Little Creek Studios in November of 2005. and I have to admit, that PIGSKIN did their homework.
Exposed to Threat exposes to pure power from the very beginning. What is more, this power is extremely raw, much rawer than on their previous release. Despite of being a little bit monotonous (again) and dull, PIGSKIN show with their last child, that they have been evolving in the right direction. The compositions are more varied, the pace and motif shifts happen quite often, and the swaps between fleshy and hoarse growl are just fantastic. The amount of the heaviness is also very big. This album is a real tanker. Furthermore, again, the drummer is doing the hardest work here, the fills are furious, fast and his play is perfect in every detail. There is no doubt, that this guy has bright future, awaiting him. Good and solid thrash play, with a slight note of dullness.
I have to admit, that since last album, PIGSKIN have changed a lot. And this metamorphosis is audible and visible. Their compositions are no more childish, but developed and complex, they gained some weight. Now, they weigh 75 tons.
