Cool songs: Endless Fall from Grace
POTENTIAL THREAT was formed in 1985 in San Francisco (thus that SF abbreviation at the end of the bands name) and since that time they managed to release three demos and one EP. Self titled album is their third demo.
James Hatfield has got to have something special inside, that so many vocalists try to imitate his style of singing. And the same goes for POTENTIAL THREAT, Noble is trying hard to sound exactly like Hatfield. The music is very raw, with quite strong bass line, the guitars sound hideously, just like a trolley braking on rusted traction. The album is quite varied, but the sound always stays the same. The different performances of same ideas work very poorly. One I have to admit, that the power of this album is at a very high level. But still, does not blow the speakers. Endless Fall from Grace is probably the best track on this album: varied motifs and unplugged elements bring some fresh air to this album.
If I can give some advice, please, do not play this album out loud. Your neighbours and passers by did not deserve such punishment, and fans of METALLICA will definitely kill you.
