Cool songs: Anything for the Next Escape
The band was formed in 2000 and since then they managed to release four demos, one VHS and one full-length album. Acceptable Level Of Violence, the first official demo, was released in 2004 and sent all over the world in the number of 100 copies.
From the first tune it is obvious that the album is going to be kept in a heavy and fleshy convention. Although that nice first impression is being spoiled quite easily, by the vocal elements, which simply do not fit here – they are too light. What is more, the musicians stubbornly use only two riffs in each song. Nowadays this will not do, the fans expect more sublime sound and ideas. Heaviness and raw power are not enough, especially when they sound the same from one song to another (unless someone is a brainless bucket). Anything for the Next Escape starts quite good, with that strong bass and guitar (again, continues with one riff style) introducing some nice variations. It is almost obvious, that the band took SAVATAGE as their model, which is a good one, although, will not guarantee them creating good music.
I expected some violent and heavy music and everything I got was some jellyfish. Of course with strong elements, but raw and savage power is far away from that.
