THIRST was formed in 1991 and is being described as one of the forerunner of black metal in Poland. They based their material mainly on EMPEROR. And the similarities are quite audible. Throughout some time, the band was counting only one musician (Occulta decided to preserve his project) and after some time, in 2004, the re-mastered material Per Aspera Ad Astra was released under Alles Stenar.
In the new line up, the music sounds cool and the guys simply know how to play owns songs. But I am sorry to announce it, that the album consists only of one song, played six times, each one in different variation. The songs sound exactly the same, with some slight variations inside (three or even two accords). But the whole disappoints, sooner or later bores and gets out of ones head. A good piece of black melt, great technicalities, although very poor in content.
This album is like a roundabout ride – you go round and round, faster and faster and finally you feel that you are going to throw up. I would recommend this album to people, who like to pay several times for one song.
