CRANTHORPE, that was their name and they were born in 1992. since that time they went through many adventures, typical for every metal band, mainly: several line up changes and of course recordings of some rehearsal tapes and demos. The band changed their name into THE THORN in 1993, after splitting up with one of the founding fathers, Jacek. Recently the band released this demo tape and since that time have been working upon the material for a long play.
Dynamic entrance releases the heavy power enclosed in this disc. And that is mainly it. No more further comments. The rest of the album sounds quite average, uninteresting, dull and deprived of any emotional background. The power is O.K. but the guitar riffs and drum fills repeat too often. As if one song was cut into pieces. Things are going much better in Typical, with very nice and high-level solo-intro, plus an audible melodic line. The band claims to be playing melodic death, although this melody is hidden somewhere, and despite my best intentions, I was unable to find it. Furthermore, everything is very predictable and gives no pleasure from listening.
There are better ad worse demos and this one is definitely one of the weakest. The predictability an monotony plus actually no imaginative usage of classical motifs killed the musicians production. They were the executioners.
